Fiberglass Warehouse 2lb Boat Pour Foam is a 2 part liquid polyurethane foam. When both parts are mixed together, it will expand to a 2 lbs/ft3 density foam. It is great for flotation, filling gaps and voids, sound proofing and insulation. This Coast Guard approved, closed cell, expanding foam creates a buoyancy of approximately 80 lbs per cubic foot for every 2 gallon kit.

Preparation: Area to be foamed must be dry. Be sure to have escape for foam, we suggest a minimum of 1.5" to 2" hole. The foam will continue to expand and can cause damage, if it does not have a place to escape. Figure cubic feet to be filled with foam. Calculate amount of foam needed using the chart below. NOTE: This liquid has a very short work time - USUALLY LESS THAN 1 MINUTE!!! Have everything ready ahead of time.
Measuring and Mixing: Using plastic pails, measure equal parts of "A" (activator) and "B" (base). Pour each one into a paper mixing bucket. Stir briskly for 30 seconds. For best results, use a small paint mixer. Liquid will begin to turn into foam immediately. Squeeze paper bucket to form a funnel and pour liquid into area to be filled. Try not overfill. Mixture will continue to foam for a few minutes. Let stand for 30 minutes. More foam can be added and it will bond to itself, if enough foam was not mixed the first time.
DO NOT REUSE PAPER BUCKETS! THE FOAM WILL NOT WORK!
DO NOT GET LIQUID FOAM ON GEL COAT, IT WILL STAIN GEL COAT!*
*If foam gets on existing gel coat, the only way to remove it is to sand with wet and dry sandpaper (220-400 grit).
Once fully cured, this pour foam will work well with polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy resins. It can be laminated over.
