Fiberglass decking

Using 4 Oz cloth over advantech 5/8 T&G. The rolled 4oz cloth is applied over 4-12 -4x8 sheets at one time (indoors) ... the cloth (when rolled) sets up beautifully ... is like armor decking.

Am doing 16,000 sq ft of decking which MUST be impenetrable to moisture. After the glass cures, I do use a custom resin mixture to give an outstanding waterproof finish.

The sheets cure 72 hours indoor, then are taken up the stairs to the deck area and installed... followed by a second 4 Oz rolled application to cover all joints ... is stronger than any other base application I have used (I finish with either white gel or tan deck paint, depending on where that deck is on the structure) ... it turned out amazing under snow load and ice conditions

Received excellent assistance in ordering this.

Using it on my new wooden boat build.

I have had a little experience working with fiberglass and epoxy, but, this 4 oz fiberglass cloth literally disappears when the epoxy is applied. I am building a wooden boat (16" long). I first put down a base of epoxy, then, lay the fiberglass cloth and work it into the epoxy with a roller. I then apply a top coat of epoxy over the fiberglass and it disappears. The wood grain shows through clearly. I work out any bubbles and let it set overnight. It seems to work better if I apply the fiberglass in smaller sections of about 3 feet by 2 feet. The next day the epoxy has cured and a light sanding before a second coat of epoxy is applied. I covered the whole bottom of the boat but it took me about 4-5 hours to complete working with the smaller pieces in sequence.

4oz 50” weave

Got exactly what I wanted and for the best price. I ordered 10 yards so I got it on a roll. I needed unfolded material for my application.

Worked great for a canoe paddle

My first attempt at glassing a canoe paddle blade - pros recommend 4 to 6 oz cloth. This worked great.
