MEKP catalyst is a solution of methyl ethyl ketone peroxides and cumyl hydroperoxide in phlegmatizer. MEKP is a liquid polymerization initiator for the room temperature cure of specialized unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins. It is typically used between 1.25% to 1.75% (1 2/3 ounce to 2 1/3 ounces per gallon). Resins that have Duratec in their name require a 2% mix ratio (2 2/3 ounces per gallon).
If you’re in the fiberglass business, this product is a must to keep on hand it’s nice to purchase in smaller quantities like 4 ounce helps with moisture control, but would be nice if you could buy by the gallon
